MEET JARIKA
Blackpacking started in May of 2019 and began as an audio journal to tell stories as a solo black queer women traveler. Then Jarika had the idea to start interviewing other people of color on their experience traveling to new countries or traveling back to their national country. On this podcast you get to hear the stories of travel bloggers, photographers, and tour operators on why they love travel and how it has influenced their life/career. They discuss topics of what we have learned about race, culture, and we simply interact as people. The world is a beautiful place, and this podcast encourages travel, but not for the reason of a good instagram picture. They encourage travel for empowerment and eliminating our fear of stepping out of our comfort zone.
